Life on the Kitsap Peninsula
A home is one thing. But how the area fits your routine? That matters just as much. The Berryman Brokers area has it all, from bustling Silverdale, WA real estate hubs to waterfront charm, and this page explains exactly why this area feels so much like home immediately.
Natural Escape
Nature at Your Doorstep
Discover scenic trails, peaceful forests, and family-friendly parks just minutes from your doorstep in Kitsap.

Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park
It’s a huge area, over 3,500 acres. Some people hike, others bike. You’ll see horses out there, too. There’s even water access if you want to kayak. It’s not crowded, even on weekends. It’s the biggest park in Kitsap, and close to spots like Port Gamble and Kingston.

Clear Creek Trail – Silverdale
About seven miles, mostly flat, and cuts through woods and wetlands. You’ll see families, runners, and the occasional deer. Parts of it feel surprisingly quiet, considering it’s right in town.

Kitsap County Parks
From boat launches to playgrounds, there’s something in almost every neighbourhood. Island Lake and Silverdale Waterfront both have spots with tables and covered areas. You can reserve them ahead of time if you're meeting up with a group.

Waterfront Lifestyles and Recreation
Boating, Kayaking, and Paddling
With 371 miles of marked water trails, our towns include Poulsbo, Kingston, and Bremerton, ranging from serene beginner bays to untamed Hood Canal adventures.
Ports and Marinas
Full marina facilities, seaplane moorings, waterfront dining, and a busy community center in "Little Norway" are provided by the Port of Poulsbo. Kingston and Bremerton waterfronts add to the coastal living appeal.
Cultural Corner
Small-Town Charm and Culture
Experience the heritage, stories, and local traditions that give Kitsap its unique small-town cultural charm
Downtown Poulsbo
Stroll along the picturesque Front Street and discover a vibrant hub of activity. Colorful, European-inspired storefronts, the famous Sluys' Bakery, charming boutiques, art galleries, and antique shops.
Port Gamble Historic District
A small old mill town that still looks like it did a century ago. There’s a museum, a few shops, and sometimes a ghost tour. Festivals draw a crowd now and then, but most days it’s quiet—a good spot for a walk or just to wander.

Family-Friendly Parks and Events
You’ll find parks all over Silverdale and Bremerton. Some have play areas or short trails. Others are just quiet spots to sit or let the kids run around for a bit. Silverdale Waterfront and Kitsap Kids Playground are two local favourites.
Weekends are usually busy in a low-key way. A market here, some music there. Sometimes there’s a small event going on. People show up, wander around, and catch up. It’s not a big production, just regular community stuff.
